Daniel is a professional cellist, bassist, arranger, and educator who relocated to Nashville in the summer of ’26 after graduating from Berklee College of Music with a degree in cello performance. He is now known for his creative approach to cello across styles like bluegrass, old-time, folk, jazz, and pop.

Daniel primarily works out of his home studio as a session musician with the company Musiversal, as well as with past clients like Lewis Capaldi, Lauren Spencer Smith, and Chance Emerson. He also played with the Renaissance Orchestra touring with Rick Ross, and performed his own string arrangements for Jason Ji’s “Finger Pickin’ Good” concert at Carnegie Hall. Daniel is an educator with The Bluegrass Journeymen and most recently taught in Kalimpong, India for a month with his long-time friend and mentor, Andy Reiner.

Growing up in Boulder, Colorado, Daniel is an enthusiastic skier, hiker, and lake-jumper-inner. He hopes to continue to grow his career here in Nashville and get people used to the idea of bluegrass cello.
