Heather moved to Nashville after graduating from Baylor University, where she began her professional playing career as a fiddler at Opryland, USA. Heather also joined country singer Trisha Yearwood's band, with whom she toured for 25+ years.

Heather has been married to her husband Royce for 25 years, and they have three college age children. (She's also been a customer of The Violin Shop for over 30 years!) When she's not playing music Heather loves traveling with family and friends, charcuterie, NY bagels and wine tasting, balanced (hopefully) by running!
