Mary grew up in Canton, Ohio; where she started playing violin at age 7. Mary was surrounded by music early on, as she often accompanied her mom to work at a violin shop. Mary became interested in luthiery several years later, after working in an emergency room and deciding to pursue work in an environment where the emergencies were less messy. ;-) She has worked in shops in Tulsa, OK; Canton, OH; and now Nashville, TN.

Mary currently plays viola for the Two Rivers Community Orchestra and enjoys playing violin, viola, and piano in her free time. She also enjoys hiking, crocheting, quilting, watercolor painting, and spending time with her three cats - Daisy May, Green Bean, and Benny. On her days off, Mary loves visiting local coffee shops and bookstores here in Nashville.
