OTTO HOYER VIOLIN BOW

A violin bow, made by and branded “OTTO A. HOYER” in Markneukirchen, Germany, circa 1925. The handle is faintly branded “TONK”, which represents the firm who imported and sold it. 

The octagonal stick is pernambuco, nickel-mounted with a Vuillaume/Hoyer style frog, and three-piece N/E/N button. The “swan head” style head is a model Hoyer was producing during this period. The stick is figured, and warm red-brown in color.
